10/1/2015 – Jessa Karki joins the Office of International Education as the new assistant director for international student services. She has extensive knowledge and experience in international student immigration rules and regulations, advising, orientation, recruitment and retention. 10/13/2015-Emily Bergeron joined Auxiliary Services as Senior Operations Coordinator on October 13, 2015. Her responsibilities will include support for Auxiliary Services and working closely with the Event Center. Bergeron comes to Champlain with more than 4 years of experience, having served as an event planner at Trish McEvoy and as events manager at Nordstrom. 10/13/2015– David Boyle joined the Champlain community as the Veteran and Military Program Manager. Champlain College now enrolls over 200 military and veteran students annually, and he is responsible for assisting these students and processing their education benefits. Boyle comes from St. Michael’s College,
where he served as the Coordinator of Veteran and Military Services. He has also had a distinguished military career as a Vermont Army National Guard Combat Medic and Company First Sergeant with tours in Afghanistan and Kuwait. 10/19/2015 – Natasha Murray joined the Library as the Senior Administrative Coordinator. In addition to a great customer service orientation, Murray brings several years of experience as a department and store manager in retail settings and as an office manager in an optometric practice, and is experienced with budget planning, ordering, event management, and daily administrative tasks. Murray holds an Associates Degree from Hillsborough Community College and a successfully completed 3 semester in a BS program at the University of South Florida.
Murray will be responsible for managing the library’s budgets and budget reporting, will help to coordinate meetings, events, and scheduling, and will be a member of the library management team. Murray may be found at: Miller Information Commons, or email@example.com.
10/26/2015 – Briana Martin joined the Office of Diversity and Inclusion as the Access and Success Coordinator in October. Martin will be responsible for fostering an inclusive, welcoming, and intercultural space for students, as well as providing student support, encouraging self-advocacy, motivation, and holistic
student development. She also serves as an advisor to the Shades of Me: Women of Color Affinity Group on campus. Martin has a B.S. in Social Work and English minor from the University of Vermont, as well as a Graduate certificate in Teaching and Learning in Postsecondary Education form Michigan State University.
