The EDGE OCR is BACK, Sunday, May 21st!
Memorial Day Hours (Eastwood): Our Eastwood Drive South Burlington location will be the only location open on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29th, from 7:00-11:00am. All group fitness classes will be cancelled.
 
EDGE OCR (W. Twin Oaks): The EDGE OCR opens Sunday, May 21st! If you are as excited as we are to climb ropes, jump over walls, carry heavy bags of sand, and throw spears at hay bales, then May 21st won’t come soon enough! EDGE OCR classes will start in June, but you will be able to attend open gyms before then. Do you have like-minded adventurous people that are interested in training for an Obstacle Course Race this summer? EDGE OCR offers private classes for $30 per person. Machine Orientations (W. Twin Oaks): The weight room can feel extremely intimidating if you don’t know how to use the machines! Our certified personal trainers will take you through our Cybex Circuit so you can exercise with confidence. Health Risk Assessments (Essex, Genavix): Are you interested in learning more about your total health? Have you wondered about your body fat percentage, metabolism, cholesterol, and blood sugar? You can book your individual health risk assessment with our certified staff at any time! The health risk assessment includes a full biometric screening with your fasting blood sugar, cholesterol, circumference measurements, a bioelectric impedance to determine your body fat percentage, lean muscle mass, and your resting metabolic rate (metabolism)! Intervale Food Hub (Williston & Essex): Intervale Food Hub delivers Vermont vegetables, fruit, dairy, meat, and more to the EDGE Williston and Essex locations every week! They offer local, sustainably grown food from more than 30 Vermont farmers, with plenty of recipes and meal plans to make life easy. Sign up for the Summer season and enjoy weekly deliveries from June-October. Summer deliveries start the week of June 5th and run through the last week of October. Adult Tennis Camps Special (Essex): Edge Tennis in Essex is offering 10% off all adult tennis camps if you register by the end of May. We offer 2-day and 3-day tennis camps for men and women. Tri-Athlete Swim Clinic (Eastwood): A swim clinic designed for athletes looking to improve their swimming efficiency, endurance, and confidence in the water. Coach Maria Cimonetti will lead you through twice a week workouts which include: stroke technique instruction and drill work, endurance training, pacing and speed sets, as well as triathlon specific swim skills. 10 or 5 punch pass options available. Parisi Speed School (Williston): PEAK90 is here! PEAK90 is a high intensity 90 minute session for athletes ages 15 and up. Utilizing Parisi’s signature speed and agility training as well as customized strength programming, each session is geared for the athlete’s individual needs and requirements. PEAK90 assessments are FREE through Friday, May 26th(normally $79). Kids & Fitness and Kindergarten Readiness Program Fall Enrollment 2017-2018 (All locations): Kids & Fitness and our Kindergarten Readiness Program are both open for enrollment. Junior Summer Tennis Team Registration (Essex): Junior Summer Team registration begins May 10th. Get 10% off per week or 20% off for all 9 weeks of the summer if you register by May 31st. Ages 7-18 can compete in our summer league. Teams are co-ed by age divisions of 10 & under, 12 & under, 14 & under, and 18 & under. Teams practice two times per week and play matches in the Champlain Valley Team Tennis League each week. This program is for all levels of play. Summer Junior Grand Prix (W. Twin Oaks): On June 10-11, The Edge at W. Twin Oaks will host a Vermont Junior Grand Prix with competition to include boy’s and girl’s singles in 10 & under, 12 & under, 14 & under, 16 & under, and 18 & under divisions. Entry deadline is end of the day on Wednesday, June 7th. Cost for the event is $20, with an extra $10 for each additional draw entered. SUMMER CAMPS
2017 Camp EDGE: Our 2017 Camp EDGE programming is out! This year’s weekly themes include Vermont Adventures, Mad Scientist Week, and Circus week, among many more! In addition to each week’s special theme (see the 2017 Camp Booklet below), campers will enjoy free exploration, group games, crafts, swimming, and more! Camp EDGE OCR (W. Twin Oaks): Join us the weeks of July 10th, 17th, 24th, and 31st for obstacle course racing, swimming, hip/hop dancing (full day), yoga (full day), tennis (full day), and healthy snack making (full day) with our Registered Dietitian. Half and Full Day options.
Half Day: 8:30am-12:30pm – $250 per week
Full Day: 8:30am-5:00pm – $350 per week

Summer Tennis Camp (Essex): Smaller courts, shorter racquets, and balls that bounce lower. Now, it’s easier for kids to play the game and develop a love for the sport right from the start!
Orange Ball Camps – Ages 6-8*: Balls bounce 50% slower than regular balls so kids can hit the ball at the right height using the correct stroke. The slower speed means more success for younger children, making their experience positive and fun. All levels welcome. Camps run 8:30am-12:30pm, Monday through Friday. Weeks offered: June 26-30, July 5-7 (3 days), July 17-21, August 7-11.
*Make it a full day camp by enrolling in Camp Edge for the afternoon for an extra $75 for members and $80 for nonmembers.
Green Ball Camps – Ages 9-11: Balls bounce 25% slower than regular balls but look like a traditional tennis ball. Kids have longer rallies and hit more balls during game play. More success, confidence, and lots of fun! All levels welcome. Camps run 8:30am-12:30pm, Monday through Friday. Weeks offered: June 19-23, July 5-7 (3 days), July 10-14, July 31-August 4, August 14-18. Camp fees: 5 Day week – $200 for members, $250 for nonmembers. 3 Day Week – $120 for members, $150 for nonmembers.

Afternoon Competitive Camps – Ages 12-18: Offered every week from 1-5pmstarting June 19th through August 18th. This camp is for the intermediate to advanced player who is motivated to improve his or her game. Players in this camp will be enrolled on the summer team including practices and weekly match play for the weeks they attend at no extra charge. Fees: $275 for members, $325 for nonmembers per week.

Junior Tennis Camp: 9:30am-1:30pm. Join us at W. Twin Oaks for tennis drills and games from 9:00am-noon, and a supervised lunch and swim at our outdoor pool from noon-1:30pm.

Tour Camp: Join us MondayFriday, from 12:30pm-5:30pm, for tennis instruction, match play, workouts and fun! Available for ages 13-18.

5K Race for Mentoring: Join Essex CHIPS for the Annual 5K Race for Mentoring on Saturday, May 13th, at Founders Memorial School. All proceeds will benefit our Friend CHIPS Youth Mentoring program for students in Essex. Click here to register!
JDRF One Walk: EDGE Tennis Pro Damon Fitch will be participating in the 2017 Vermont JDRF One Walk on Sunday, May 21st, at CVU High School in Hinesburg, Vermont starting at 10:00am. JDRF uses the One Walk to raise vital funds to power the global movement to help cure, treat and prevent Type One Diabetes (T1D). Taking part in the walk is a great experience with music, fun, friendship, games, and most importantly, hope for a better world for people with Type One Diabetes (T1D). Damon, who has had T1D for nearly 35 years, would love to have your support. Humane Society of Chittenden County’s 23rd Annual Walk for the Animals and 5K Doggie Fun Run: Every animal deserves a second chance! Grab your leash and your sneakers to walk or run for the most deserving, loving beings we know: our companion animals! The Humane Society of Chittenden County finds homes for nearly 1,000 homeless animals each year. Join us for HSCC’s 23rd Annual Walk for the Animals and 5K Doggie Fun Run on Sunday, June 11 from 8:00am-11:00am at Veteran’s Memorial (FKA Dorset) Park in South Burlington. Enter as an individual or join a team to partake in Vermont’s largest dog-friendly event. There will be food, contests, prizes and more!
