Tools for Digital Privacy

June 13, 8:45-10:15, Miller Information Commons 308
Facilitator/Presenter: Duane Dunston
Class size is limited to 15 people – There is still space left!

In this workshop, you will learn how to use tools that can allow you to achieve digital privacy. You’ve heard about the issues, but we will quickly revisit each issue and spend more time showing you how to use the tools. By the time you leave the workshop, you will have tools that you can use to maintain privacy, you will use anonymous web surfing technologies, temporary email services, secure backups, setup a secure password manager, and if you bring your mobile phone, you’ll test and use secure text messaging, voice, and video calls (Android or iPhone). This is a hands on training!
