Summer Aquatics (Essex, Eastwood, Williston): We all look forward to spending time in the water during the summer months. If you and your family need at touch-up on swimming lessons to be safer at the lake or pool, strongly consider a series of lessons. Group lessons begin in a week – on Monday, June 19th! We have options at all Edge locations that we hope will fit your family’s schedule. Click HERE to learn more. Below are some other good summertime ideas in the club pools:
– Host a family birthday at the Slide Pool in Essex.
– Take some lessons to get ready for your Triathlon.
– Join other adult swimmers for an early morning workout, before most of the world is awake!

EDGE OCR (W. Twin Oaks): The OCR is open! Train for a Spartan Race, Tough Mudder or another Obstacle Course Race here in South Burlington! Our outdoor facility is conveniently located at our W. Twin Oaks location. A FREE Obstacle Assessment is required to use EDGE OCR on your own during Open Gym times. Purchase our OCR EDGE class pass and workout on your own during Open Gym times, or take one of our classes:
Sunrise Exercise with Tom: Mondays & Wednesdays at 7:30am
Saturday Family Class with Sarah: Saturdays at 12:00pm
Spartan SGX Class with Caleb: Mondays at 10:30am

Outdoor Clay Courts (Eastwood Drive): The clay courts at Eastwood are open and in great shape! A reminder to all players to please sweep after you play. Thank you!
EDGE Moms (Essex): Just had a baby or currently pregnant? Come join our trainer Stephanie Preedom for EDGE Moms, Sundays from 3:00-4:00pm in Essex. Stephanie is a mom of 2 and an AFAA Certified Personal Trainer with a Bachelors in Exercise Science. Stephanie also is a Prenatal Group Fitness Instructor. Group Fitness Cancellations (Essex): We are hosting a BodyVive training this weekend, June 10th and 11th, at our Essex location in the main group fitness studio. Because of this, classes normally held in that studio are cancelled Saturday and Sunday, June 10th and 11th. The only classes in Essex this weekend will be:
Saturday at 8:00am: Cycle
Sunday at 9:00am: Yoga
Sunday at 8:00am: RPM
Sunday at 9:00am: Sprint
Drop-In Tennis Clinics (W. Twin Oaks): The summer drop-in schedule at Kennedy Drive gets underway Monday, June 19th. Drop-ins are a fun way to hit a lot of tennis balls, work on your game, and meet new people. They involve a combination of drills, hitting, and games that are fun and provide a good workout as well.
Mondays: 11:30am-12:30pm (Indoor Courts)
Tuesdays: 11:30am-12:30pm (Outdoor Red Clay Courts)
Wednesdays: 11:30am-12:30pm (Indoor Courts), 6:30pm-7:30pm (Outdoor Red Clay Courts)
Thursdays: 11:00am-12:00pm (Indoor Courts)

Adult Mixed Doubles Drop-In League (Essex): Join us Tuesday evenings from 6:00-8:00pm in Essex for our Adult Mixed Doubles League! This program runs June 13th through August 22nd on the outdoor Har-Tru courts.  Drop in each week for some fun competition. Players will be paired up each week or you can come in with a partner. Level of play is 3.5-4.0.

Personal Training Change (All locations): Effective June 1, EDGE personal training will be restructuring our packages and moving all sales to an EFT monthly model. Moving forward, we will also now have three levels of personal trainers to choose from: Junior, Senior, and Master Trainers. Please contact with any questions or concerns.
Lululemon Running Group with Jamie Sheahan: Join Jamie Sheahan for her running group every Thursday at 5:30pm, leaving from Lululemon on Church Street! Welcoming all runners with or without a training plan. If you have a race coming up or if it’s just for fun, run at your own pace with us every Thursday evening! Junior Grand Pris USTA Tennis Tournament (Essex): Register by this Sunday to join our Junior Grand Pris tournament, June 17th and 18th! Featuring Boys & Girls Singles, ages u12, u14, and u16. Kids & Fitness and Kindergarten Readiness Program Fall Enrollment 2017-2018 (All locations): Kids & Fitness and our Kindergarten Readiness Program are both open for enrollment. Playspace: Sign up for EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) for only $49 a month for 1 child plus $15 for each additional child. You get one visit per day, up to 2 hours to care while you work out or while running your errands!
Non-members can use the Playspace for $25 for 1 child up to 2 hours. Bring your little ones for two hours of fun daily! Contact for more information.

Summer Tennis Camp (Essex): Smaller courts, shorter racquets, and balls that bounce lower. Now, it’s easier for kids to play the game and develop a love for the sport right from the start!
Orange Ball Camps – Ages 6-8*: Balls bounce 50% slower than regular balls so kids can hit the ball at the right height using the correct stroke. The slower speed means more success for younger children, making their experience positive and fun. All levels welcome. Camps run 8:30am-12:30pm, Monday through Friday. Weeks offered: June 26-30, July 5-7 (3 days), July 17-21, August 7-11.
*Make it a full day camp by enrolling in Camp Edge for the afternoon for an extra $75 for members and $80 for nonmembers.
Green Ball Camps – Ages 9-11: Balls bounce 25% slower than regular balls but look like a traditional tennis ball. Kids have longer rallies and hit more balls during game play. More success, confidence, and lots of fun! All levels welcome. Camps run 8:30am-12:30pm, Monday through Friday. Weeks offered: June 19-23, July 5-7 (3 days), July 10-14, July 31-August 4, August 14-18. Camp fees: 5 Day week – $200 for members, $250 for nonmembers. 3 Day Week – $120 for members, $150 for nonmembers.

Afternoon Competitive Camps – Ages 12-18: Offered every week from 1-5pmstarting June 19th through August 18th. This camp is for the intermediate to advanced player who is motivated to improve his or her game. Players in this camp will be enrolled on the summer team including practices and weekly match play for the weeks they attend at no extra charge. Fees: $275 for members, $325 for nonmembers per week.

Junior Tennis Camp: 9:30am-1:30pm. Join us at W. Twin Oaks for tennis drills and games from 9:00am-noon, and a supervised lunch and swim at our outdoor pool from noon-1:30pm.
Junior Tennis Team: Join us for practice twice a week, with match play on Fridays!
Tour Camp: Join us Monday-Friday, from 12:30pm-5:30pm, for tennis instruction, match play, workouts and fun! Available for ages 13-18.

Community Events
Humane Society of Chittenden County’s 23rd Annual Walk for the Animals and 5K Doggie Fun Run: Every animal deserves a second chance! Grab your leash and your sneakers to walk or run for the most deserving, loving beings we know: our companion animals! The Humane Society of Chittenden County finds homes for nearly 1,000 homeless animals each year. Join us for HSCC’s 23rd Annual Walk for the Animals and 5K Doggie Fun Run on Sunday, June 11 from 8:00am-11:00am at Veteran’s Memorial (FKA Dorset) Park in South Burlington. Enter as an individual or join a team to partake in Vermont’s largest dog-friendly event. There will be food, contests, prizes and more!
