Locker Room Renovations (W. Twin Oaks): Locker room renovations at W. Twin Oaks are set to begin! All lockers must be emptied by October 23rdLocker facilities will be available between October 24th and October 31st for day use only. Locker rooms will be closed from Wednesday, November 1st through Wednesday, November 8th. Members with locker rentals will be assigned a new locker once renovations are complete.
 
Intervale Food Hub (Williston & Essex): Join the Intervale Food Hub Fall/Winter Season, and pick up at the EDGE in Williston or Essex! Enjoy weekly deliveries of delicious local food, and support more than 30 Vermont farmers and food makers. Adult Endurance Training (Parisi Speed School, Williston):
*FREE DEMO SESSIONS Tuesday, October 31st at 6:00pm and Friday, November 3rd at 6:00am.
Are you a runner, cyclist, rower, swimmer, skier, or triathlete looking to improve your strength, power, and endurance over the cold winter months? After a great first session, Parisi Performance Coach Kyle Rainville is excited to be offering a second block of training for adult endurance athletes!
This block of training runs for 8 total weeks starting on Tuesday, November 7th and ending on Friday, January 19th. Please note that there will ben o training the week of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s.
Those looking to train once a week (can choose either time slot) – 8 total sessions: $140
Those looking to train twice a week (both time slots) – 16 total sessions: $240

Virtual RPM Classes (Essex & South Burlington): We are now offering Virtual RPM classes in Essex! Ride with Master RPM Trainers on the big screen – no pressure of an instructor. Try one out in either of our Edge Indoor Cycling studios!
 
New BodyFlow Class (Essex): Need more yoga in your life? We’ve added a new BodyFlow class to the schedule. Join Heather on Sundays at 5:00pm in Essex – a lovely way to end the weekend!

Drop-In Tennis Drills (Essex): Thursdays, 6:00-7:30pm, Level 3.5-4.0 (formerly Cardio Tennis). This class is 90 minutes of active drill and games that get you moving your feet and hitting a variety of shots. Classes are co-ed and run weekly. Space is limited to 8 players per class, so please sign up online or by calling the front desk at least 24 hours in advance.
Drop-In Fee: $15 for members, $18 for non-members
10 Punch Card Fee: $125 for members, $155 for non-members
 
Adult Development (Essex): Wednesdays, 6:30-7:30pm, and Saturdays, 10:30-11:30am, Level 2.5-3.0. Adult Development is for the advanced-beginner to low-intermediate tennis player looking to enhance their skills and tactical knowledge to improve match play. Classes will consist of stroke technique review plus active drills and games to simulate point play. Please sign up online or at the front desk. Sign up week to week – space is limited to 8 per class.
Drop-In Fee: $15 for members, $18 for non-members
10 Punch Card Fee: $125 for members, $155 for non-members
 
Learn to Play Tennis (Essex): Mondays 6:30-7:30pm or Saturdays 9:30-10:30am, Adult Beginners. This is a progressive program designed tot each you all the skills of tennis and get you playing points within three months. Sign up at the front desk for these 4-week sessions at a reduced introductory rate. Beginners must enroll in Tennis 1 before taking Tennis 2 or 3. Players may enroll in Tennis 2 or 3 if they have prior play experience.
Fees: $60 for members, $80 for non-members
Tennis 1 – for beginners or players who need a refresher on the basic skills
Tennis 2 – develop technique and learn to put your skills into court play
Tennis 3 – learn to play points and develop tactical play in singles and doubles
*Enrolling now for the next session, Tennis 2, on Mondays from 6:30-7:30pmstarting October 23rd-November 13th, 2017.* There are still spots left so register now! Tennis Players – Wear Your Pink! (Essex, W. Twin Oaks, Eastwood):
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign to raise awareness of breast cancer risks, the value of screening and early detection, and treatment options available to women and men who are diagnosed with one of the many forms of breast cancer. Show your support by wearing pink out on the tennis court this month. Every time an Edge pro sees you wearing pink (or you check in at the front desk), your name will be entered in a drawing for a free private tennis lesson! At the end of the month, we will pick one winner from each location: Essex, W. Twin Oaks, and Eastwood. Thanks for your support of this great cause which has affected so many of our friends and family members in our tennis community and beyond.
 
Aquatics (Essex, Eastwood, Williston): You have four indoor facilities to choose from this Fall! We’ve done our best to provide a range of conditions are programming so that our members can find what’s right for them at one of the Edge locations. When you plan your aquatic exercise, consider a few things:
– Essex has two large 6-lane pools. One, at Morse Drive, is kept at 90 degrees where lanes can be reserved up to 48 hours in advance. The other pool at Gauthier Drive is kept at 83 degrees and does not take reservations. Gauthier also has a smaller warm pool for physical therapy, lessons, and family swim.
– Eastwood Drive has an 8-lane pool kept at 84 degrees. No lane reservations. If it happens to be busy, be prepared to share your lane or wait a few minutes.
– Williston has a 6-lane pool kept at 82 degrees. Lanes can be reserved up to 48 hours in advance. The Edge’s state-champ youth swim team trains at this pool on weekday afternoons beginning at 3:45pm, and on Saturday mornings. Williston also has a smaller warm pool for PT, lessons and family swim.

The Ghost Race: October 18th, 5:30-7:30pm at Lululemon on Church Street. First sweat, then sweets! Join EDGE dietitian, personal trainer, and Lululemon run ambassador, Jamie Sheahan, for a 5 mile run through downtown Burlington! As a reward for your hard work, Lululemon will provide cider, doughnuts, and a sweet shopping surprise waiting for you in-store afterwards! Meet at the store a few minutes before 5:30pm. See you rain or shine!

Youth Programs
 
PEAK90 Semi-Private Training (Parisi Speed School, Williston): Is your athlete looking for more specificity towards their sport? What about a competitive training environment that will motivate them through their workout? Parisi’s PEAK90 semi-private sessions offer customized strength training plus all the motivating benefits of a group training environment!
Sessions run Monday-Thursday evening from 6:00-7:30pm with the flexibility to sign up for sessions day-to-day based around your schedule. This is also a great in-season training option for those in season!

Learn to Lift (Parisi Speed School, Williston): For young athletes ages 8-11 who are looking to enhance their experience in the weight room! This age-appropriate strength training session will be coached by certified Parisi Performance Coaches to ensure safety and education for each athlete in the program. Each session of Learn to Lift runs for 4 weeks in conjunction with the school year calendar. The second session of Learn to Lift runs every Monday and Thursday starting on Monday, October 23rd. All sessions are 3:30-4:30pm and there is a bus that runs from Williston Central School to the Williston EDGE!
Cost: $89 per athlete

Little Speedsters (Parisi Speed School, Williston):
Who: Kids ages 5&6
When: Every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00-5:00pm
Cost: $48 for 4 sessions, $80 for 8 sessions or a drop-in rate of $15 per person. *All drop-in children must pre-register so we have their information and participation waiver on file.
Class Description: This 60-minute class aids in the physical development of 5 and 6 year olds by including movement and balance training, and of course, FUN! Class size is capped at 6 children to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for those enrolled. Sessions will be coached by Parisi Certified Staff that have specialty training in working with the development of young kids.
 
Aquatics (Essex, Eastwood, Williston): Our instructors and coaches look forward to the fall season when many local youth get into the water to work on skills and safety. We have done our best to schedule our group lessons on days and at times that work for your family. You can find group lesson options, private instruction, and swim team type workouts at all of our sites. Registration is now open for the next session of lessons beginning the week of October 23rd. Playspace (All locations):  The Edge Playspace is a great place to drop off your kiddos ages 6-weeks and up for one visit per day, up to two hours. Click on the link below for our hours & rates. We are available to both members and guests. If you have never tried the space before and would like a free pass to try it out, contact SueR@edgevt.com. No reservations needed!

USTA Junior Sanctioned Tournament (Essex): The Edge in Essex will be hosting its second USTA Sanctioned Junior Event this fall. Please register online by going to the USTA New England website or through Tennislink directly. Please use the Tournament ID number listed below.
