10.12.2017 – Michael Angel joins the Library team as a Circulation Coordinator. In this role, he supervises circulation services and systems, helps oversee the facility, carries out various projects and supervises/mentors student employees. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Innovation from Champlain College and will receive his Online Java Programming Certification from Champlain in December 2017. Recently, Michael collaborated on developing an all-encompassing Android mobile app for the College’s community in 2016.

10.16.2017 – Kathleen Hyde joins the Continuing Professional Studies team as the Chair for Cybersecurity Programs. In this position, she will be responsible for providing curriculum development, oversight and subject matter expertise to the online undergraduate and graduate degree programs in cybersecurity and digital forensics. She will also manage part-time adjunct faculty and maintain industry support through involvement with industry practitioners and external organizations. Kathleen earned her MBA and MS in Computer Information Systems from the University of Phoenix, and her BA in Visual Communication from Lyndon State College. She has been teaching in the College’s cybersecurity program since 2014 and has been a consultant and president of her own information technology firm for well over two years.

10.24.2017 – Heidi St. Peter joins the Academic Support and Coaching Services as an Academic Coach. In this role, she will be coaching to support student success and retention. She comes to Champlain with more than 15 years of experience in higher education, taking a detour at one point to direct a social service outreach program in the North End of Burlington. Whether in residence life, alumni relations, directing a student-led volunteer service program, Heidi’s passion lies in being able to walk alongside students and work with them to uncover their passions, potential and innate gifts – some of the best work in the world! She has trained with JST Coaching Inc and completed coursework through Landmark College’s professional development certification program. Heidi holds a B.A. in English from St. Michael’s College and has her M.Ed. from the University of Vermont’s Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration (HESA) program. She also has a post-graduate certificate in Theology and Pastoral Ministry from St. Michael’s College. She lives with her husband, three children (ages 8, 11 and 13) and two guinea pigs, and spends any leftover free time reading, running (her time to listen to podcasts uninterrupted!) and playing around with her kids.
