Women’s Leadership Speaker Series

Valerie Esposito and the Women’s and Gender Center are excited to offer a series of speakers around women and leadership. Each session is held on a Thursday from 12:30-1:45pm in the Women’s and Gender Center (with a few Tuesday exceptions). All are welcome to attend!

  • TOMORROW: Tuesday, February 30th: Dr. Angela Batista, Champlain’s own VP for Student Life and Special Advisor to the President for Diversity and Inclusion will speak on Intersectional Feminism.
  • Thursday, February 8th: Pru Sullivan, Director of Continuous Learning at Green Mountain Inc. and Practitioner in Residence in the Cooperrider Center for Appreciative Inquiry will speak on Leadership Style and Appreciative Inquiry.
  • Thursday, February 15th: Marguerite Dibbell, Founder and CEO of GameTheory will speak on Women Leaders and Game Design.
  • Thursday, February 22nd: Marta Ceroni, Director of Programs at the Academy for Systems Change will speak on Systems Thinking and Change.
  • Thursday, March 1st: Jimena Huaco, Champlain’s own Sr. Talent Education Manager will speak on Financial Literacy.
  • Thursday, March 22nd: Dolly Fleming, Executive Director of Mercy Connections will speak on Entrepreneurship.
  • Thursday, March 29th: Tanja Hinterstoisser, Champlain’s own Director of the Career Collaborative will speak on Negotiation.
  • Thursday, April 12th: Sarah George, Chittenden County State Attorney General will speak on Legal Rights in the Workplace.
  • Thursday, April 19th: Christine Hallquist, President & CEO of Vermont Electric Cooperative will speak on LGBTQ Rights.
  • Thursday, April 26th: Allyson Laackman, Executive Director of Burlington Housing Authority will speak on Personal Journeys in Leadership.
