NEW! Intro Group Fitness Classes (Williston): Join us for BodyPump 101 and BodyVive 101 beginning this month! These classes will be slower
paced with more instruction between tracks and a strong focus on technique. We welcome Genavix participants and graduates to attend! Class will include approximately 40-45 minutes of exercise and 15-20 minutes learning the moves, form, technique, modifications and Q&A. Both classes will be held in the Group Fitness studio in Williston. Just walk in – no sign-up required!

New Indoor Cycling Classes (W. Twin Oaks & Essex): We have added two new cycling classes to our Group Fitness schedule for February – Virtual RPM class at W. Twin Oaks, Thursday’s at 7:15am and Indoor Cycling in Essex, Thursday’s at 6pm with Matt Tourville!
Jericho Café & Tavern Tennis Championships (Essex): It was an awesome weekend of tennis at the 23rd annual JCAT Championships. There was great competition, food and fun. Register now for the second weekend of the JCAT which will feature Men’s Doubles, Women’s Singles, and Mixed Doubles on February 16-18th. TFW Williston – 8 Week Transformation (Williston): New Session begins Monday, February 12th! TFW (www.trainingforwarriors.com) encompasses detailed warmups, speed and strength training, endurance training, flexibility work and nutrition, all of which are based on a comprehensive evaluation process! The program is designed to build strength and improve conditioning, all while losing body fat and building muscle. It is progressive and scalable making it open to all availability levels!
So, what is the 8 Week Transformation? The 8 week transformation is a small group training session that meets 3x a week at the Parisi Speed School in the Edge in Williston. We will be setting achievable goals and working as a team to accomplish them!
CLASS SCHEDULE (24 total classes, begins Monday, February 12th):
Monday Nights – 7:00pm-8:00pm
Wednesday Nights – 6:00pm-6:00pm
Friday Mornings – 7:00am-8:00am

TFW Essex – New On Ramp Program (Essex): Surround yourself with people on the same mission as you and you will be unstoppable! Training for Warriors will be offering our new on ramp program – the 28 Day Challenge! The challenge begins Monday, February 19th and runs every MondayWednesday and Friday at 6:15pm. $150 for member, $175 for non-members. Contact Coach Ren at RenC@edgevt.com for more information.
 
Personal Training & FREE Fitness Consultations: Need some help with your New Year’s Resolution? Come in and meet with one of our Certified Personal Trainers for a FREE Fitness Consultation. We will go through your exercise history and your current workout plan and help you set attainable goals. If you need more motivation and accountability, hiring a personal trainer is a great way to keep you on track. We will give you workouts to do when you are not seeing us, make recommendations to classes that may help you and even text you to remind you to stretch!
Worried about finances? We offer 3 levels of personal training at different prices: Certified, Senior, and Master. We can also do 2-on-1 or Small Group Training if you have friends that you want to help keep you motivated.

The Raul Fonseca Cup (W. Twin Oaks): Join us February 10th and 11thfor the Raul Fonseca Cup at the W. Twin Oaks EDGE. Just like the tournaments leading up to the Cup, each age division will have one day of round robin play. Depending on the number of participants, divisions may come down to a short semifinal and final round if more than one flight is needed. Players do not need to have played in any of the other five events to play in the Raul Fonseca Cup. Please contact Damon Fitch at DamonF@edgevt.com for more information.
American Red Cross Lifeguard Blended Learning Course (Essex): The EDGE will be hosting two sessions of Lifeguard Courses.
Session 1 runs February 26th-March 1st, 8:00am-2:30pm

Playspace (All locations): Looking for some childcare while you work out or even while you go grocery shopping? Let the Playspace at the Edge help you out! We offer drop-in childcare for children ages 6 weeks and up for members and non-members for one visit per day, up to 2 hours. Parents and grandparents are permitted to leave their children in our care. We have 4 different locations throughout our EDGE clubs. All of our caregivers are CPR & AED certified. EDGE Swim Club
Thirty-three EDGE Swimmers participated in a 1-hour swim-a-thon for the Big Change Round-Up on Saturday, January 27th. EDGE swimmers swam as many yards as they could within the 1-hour timeframe, in an effort to both show support and raise money for the UVM Children’s Hospital. EDGE swimmers received fixed pledges, or pledges per lap, as a means to raise money.
Our thirty-three swimmers totaled 103,850 yards! Our total donation amount from the swim team is now up to $2,356.99!
After making an impact on the community, our swimmers now look to make a big splash on the 2018 New England championship season. EDGE swimmers have a final tune-up this Sunday, February 4th, at St. Michael’s College, before the 2018 New England Regional championship from February 9th-11that the Upper Valley Aquatic Center in White River Junction, VT. In addition, a handful of EDGE swimmers will head even further south to Wesleyan University for an invitational meet that same weekend.
